Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Adding value to an established product development team
  • Create new innovative design and development techniques
  • Drive development of new and innovative solutions for Serato's suite of products
  • Enhance the existing suite of product applications
  • Investigate and contribute to the technical roadmap for new products
  • Participate in the design and architecture discussions
  • Championing best practice development techniques, and mentoring fellow team members

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Solid experience of object oriented languages
  • Experience of professional software development environments building software applications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Experience with real-time application development
  • In-depth understanding of current technologies
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Working in a team environment
  • Understanding of software industry best practices and development principles

Skills and Talents:

  • Written and oral communication
  • A positive attitude, team focused attitude, and service focused attitude
  • Need to be an achiever
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines

  • Investigate and contribute to the technical testing approaches
  • Championing best practice development techniques, and mentoring fellow team members

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Solid experience of testing methods and approaches
  • Experience of professional software development environments building software applications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Experience with real-time application development

Serato is looking for a contract software engineer to create device drivers for high-performance audio hardware.

Key skills:

  • Experience developing low latency ASIO, CoreAudio and WDM drivers
  • Solid C/C++ programming experience

Knowledge and experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Audio hardware driver development
  • USB development
  • Firmware development
  • Embedded systems development
